🏢 K-pop Entertainment Company Guide (Around HYBE·SM·JYP·YG)
🟣 HYBE — Yongsan
Location: 42 Hangang-daero, Yongsan-gu, Seoul — it occupies the entire "Yongsan Trade Center (YTC)."
Getting there: Near Yongsan Station (Line 1 / Gyeongui-Jungang Line), next to I'Park Mall.
Vibe: The home base of HYBE (BTS, SEVENTEEN, TXT, ENHYPEN, etc.). Security is very tight and unauthorized photography inside is prohibited. The former exhibition space "HYBE INSIGHT" closed in January 2023, so it's no longer open to the public. → View the exterior only!
Nearby: I'Park Mall (shopping, cinema, food court), the Yongsan Station area, and Ichon Han River Park a short walk away. For official merch, Weverse Shop (online) or occasional pop-ups are the realistic options.
🔵 SM — Seongsu
Location: 83-21 Wangsimni-ro, Seongdong-gu, Seoul — Acro Seoul Forest D-Tower (moved to Seongsu-dong in 2021).
Getting there: Near Seoul Forest Station (Suin-Bundang Line) / Ttukseom Station (Line 2) within walking distance.
Must-visit — KWANGYA@SEOUL: The flagship store on B1 of D-Tower! You'll find official merch, albums, and goods for SM artists (aespa, NCT, RIIZE, etc.), plus media displays and scent experiences. It's a top pick for fans.
Nearby: The trendy Seongsu-dong café street and Seoul Forest right next door make a perfect day course.
🔴 JYP — Gangdong
Location: 205 Gangdong-daero, Gangdong-gu, Seoul (Seongnae-dong, JYP Center). (Home to TWICE, Stray Kids, ITZY, NMIXX, etc.)
Getting there: Closest to Gangdong-gu Office Station (Line 8) — about 500m from Exit 2.
Vibe: After its Cheongdam era, JYP settled into its Gangdong building. It's a working office, so enjoy the exterior. JYP is also known as an eco-friendly company with good welfare.
Note: JYP has plans to build a new headquarters in the Godeok Business Valley, so the location and fan routes may change in the future.
Nearby: Rather than the building itself, pair it with the Gangdong/Cheonho commercial area, and Olympic Park (walks, photo spots) a short trip away.
🟢 YG — Hapjeong
Location: 3 Huiujeong-ro 1-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul (around Hapjeong-dong). Home to BLACKPINK, BABYMONSTER, TREASURE, etc.
Getting there: Hapjeong Station (Lines 2 & 6).
Vibe: The "old YG building," where G-Dragon spent his trainee days and BIGBANG was born, is also in Hapjeong-dong. As it's a workplace, enjoy the exterior view.
Nearby: The Hapjeong–Mangwon area is full of cafés, restaurants, and select shops, so after seeing the building's exterior, it's great as a neighborhood-stroll course. Mangwon Market and the Han River (Mangwon/Hapjeong) are within walking distance.
🛍️ Worth a stop regardless of company
Ktown4u offline stores and other K-pop album/goods shops (many artists' merch in one place)
Album/goods shops in Myeongdong, Hongdae, Gangnam, and birthday cafés (fan-run café events around an idol's birthday)
Most official merch is available on Weverse Shop or each company's online store
🙏 Fan Etiquette (the most important part!)
These are workplaces. Please refrain from entering the buildings, taking photos without permission, or lingering to wait for staff or artists.
Chasing artists' comings and goings or invading their privacy (so-called "sasaeng" behavior) is absolutely not okay. It's the behavior Korean fandoms warn against most.
These are residential neighborhoods (Seongsu, Hapjeong, Gangdong), so enjoy quietly — no noise, litter, or blocking foot traffic.
It's best to focus on fan-welcoming spaces like official stores, cafés, and pop-ups.
