2. From Yeoju Terminal to the Tomb — An Honest Transport Guide

• If you call one with the Kakao T app, the destination and fare are shown on screen, so you're covered even if there's a language barrier. This is especially recommended for foreign travelers.

• With 2–3 people, the per-person cost is low too — making it the most realistic way to save both time and energy.

② Private Car / Rental Car — ✅ Recommended

Driving yourself or renting a car gives you the most freedom to move around. The tomb has a large free parking lot for about 700 cars, so parking is no worry. It's also convenient for touring other sights around Yeoju.

③ Yeoju Tourist Shuttle Bus — ⚠️ Not Recommended (only if the timing lines up perfectly)

The route itself is nice, but matching its schedule is difficult, so it's generally hard to recommend. Starting from Yeoju Station, it loops around Silleuksa Temple → King Sejong's Tomb → Sejong Market → Namhangang Suspension Bridge → Empress Myeongseong's Birthplace → Hwanghaksan Arboretum, and King Sejong's Tomb is one of its stops.

• Operating hours: First bus 10:10, last bus 17:00, about 7 runs a day (varies by season)

• The first bus is at 10:10, so if you arrive in Yeoju early in the morning, you'll have a long wait.

Climb Up to the Burial Mound Itself

From my own visit, the biggest strength is that it's not a market overly dressed up for tourists, but a living, everyday five-day market used by actual local residents. If you're expecting a prettily decorated tourist market, I don't recommend it. But if you want to see not a tourist attraction but the real daily life of local residents and the everyday scenery of Yeoju, I do recommend it.

Suggested One-Day Itinerary (Example)

To make use of the tourist shuttle bus, adjust your plan to depart from Yeoju Station in time for the first bus (10:10). If you want to move early and see the tomb first, a taxi is more convenient.
